What a fucking strike, Mikel Arteta! I went bloody mental.
City were shocking, though. No fluency in the midfield at all. They did miss David Silva, as he would've given them that extra creative spark. They didn't understand how each other wanted to play, really. Definitely 11 individuals playing; not a team. Their defence was alright, Kompany was really solid. He's a class player. They really ran out of gas at the end there, too. The discipline of the team out there though, it was just appalling. Obviously Balotelli stands out and I don't know what it was but he started the match pissed off. His fireworks were probably faulty or something.
We were quite good, the defense held up well for the majority and we were pretty decent going forward, creating chances which should've end in a few goals. We dominated possession and controlled the game throughout, which we should always do at home. Wasted a few easy chances and I thought we were going to end the game without maximum points. Woulda pissed me off if we did. On the negative side, Kieran Gibbs was withdrawn through injury. Didn't look too serious but bloody hell he's fragile! Koscielny also picked up another yellow, meaning he misses the next 2 matches. We still should be able to record comfortable wins over Wolves and Wigan without him, though.
