Welcome all to this ANZAC Day match between the likes of Sydeh and Matt121. One Indian and one from Azerbaijan isn't really giving it much of an ANZAC flavour, but it should be a good match. It is a best of 3 encounter and let's get straight down to the action with our courtside reporter, Hen Daman.

Hi guys, the first set of this ANZAC Day clash is underway with it going on serve so far. It gets to 4-4 and the nerves to impress the world of FT are very high as we see Syd serving a few double faults. Matt sees these nerves and pounces on the opportunity with that killer backhand to get the break at 5-4. Matt shows his fair share of nerves as well by serving some of the slowest second serves in the match. He still shows some guts to serve out the set. Matt wins the first set 6-4.

The second set is almost no different to the first, a very tight encounter between these evenly matched players. Syd knows at 4-4 to keep hold of his nerves and serve out the game and keep the unforced errors low. He sneaks through that game to take a 5-4 lead in the second. Matt responds amazingly getting some great angles on his first serves to get a couple aces and serve the game out to love! 5-5. Syd wins a massive deuce game as Matt adds the pressure knowing that Syd buckled last set, but Syd holds on this time. 6-5. Matt gets another easy service game, feeling very confident about his game right now, 6-6. Tiebreak. It was very close but it looked as if Matt had just realised how close he was to winning it and just stopped hitting his shots and just push it back into play. This helps Sydeh's game a lot as he takes a fair bit of confidence out of Matt playing right into his hands. In the end Sydeh takes the second set 7-6. The tiebreak score, 7-4.

The last set was not really what anyone expected. It looked like Matt came out with a vengeance as Syd went to sleep really, getting a bit complacent even. Matt storming through the final set to get it easily as well as the match as we hear the chair umpire say, "Game, Set and Match, Matt121!" Great effort from Matt to take the final set 6-2.

It looks like the Azerbaijanian Matt121 gets the goods there. Make sure to come and have a look at our next match tomorrow between ag6858 and Niru. Hope to see you there, but for now, good day.

Final score: Matt121 def. Sydeh 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 6-2
Match time: 3 hours 13 minutes
