Season is almost to a close, the Red Devils are leading the pack with the Citizens trying to hold on and over take their inner-city rivals.

The season is almost over, but there's still a lot of drama left in the season, also....

CISSE! That is all...

And at HT it's 0-0 with Van Persie extremely unlucky not to score and Balotelli who should be off.

What a fucking strike, Mikel Arteta! I went bloody mental.

City were shocking, though. No fluency in the midfield at all. They did miss David Silva, as he would've given them that extra creative spark. They didn't understand how each other wanted to play, really. Definitely 11 individuals playing; not a team. Their defence was alright, Kompany was really solid. He's a class player. They really ran out of gas at the end there, too. The discipline of the team out there though, it was just appalling. Obviously Balotelli stands out and I don't know what it was but he started the match pissed off. His fireworks were probably faulty or something.

We were quite good, the defense held up well for the majority and we were pretty decent going forward, creating chances which should've end in a few goals. We dominated possession and controlled the game throughout, which we should always do at home. Wasted a few easy chances and I thought we were going to end the game without maximum points. Woulda pissed me off if we did. On the negative side, Kieran Gibbs was withdrawn through injury. Didn't look too serious but bloody hell he's fragile! Koscielny also picked up another yellow, meaning he misses the next 2 matches. We still should be able to record comfortable wins over Wolves and Wigan without him, though.

Right this is going to become the football thread in general as nobody would talk in a lower league thread.

Macc Town are to put it simply, wank, we're in the relegation zone and poised to leave the football league for the first time in 15 years, we haven't won all year and guess which bloody mug has been to every one of those matches home and away from London, yup, me.

We have a good keeper on loan from Sheff Wed, a relatively solid defence with a couple of big black men, a hard working midfield with a pair of unstoppable on their day wingers and when he's fit George Donnely, best striker in League 2. So why the f**k are we losing every game, beats me, well Port Vale tommorow, let's get a win and keep ourselves in League 2, come on you silkmen! <3

Now the EPL title is down to Man United and Man City, Man U with a solid 8 point lead with 6 rounds remaining. Should be a good finish to the season.

Man U have won it; simple as that. We should definitely be able to keep 3rd spot away from Tottenham, as they've been shit lately and we're on our best run of the season.

Norwich pulled off a well-deserved 2-1 win against Spuds, at White Hart Lane, while Everton blasted 4 second half goals past Sunderland at Goodison and Newcastle comfortably beat Bolton 2-0 at St. Andrews.

Maccles lost 1-0. Sad

Poor result for Chelsea who are in 6th. If Arsenal beat Wolves then we've pretty much sealed 3rd place.

My new hope is for Chelsea to go down to Fulham, and it will give Newcastle a bigger shot at 4th. Razz

If Tottenham fail to get results.... we have to face Chelsea and Manchester city in the run home so I don't see us getting 4th, 5th might still be a chance.

Yeah, Tottenham will slip. Definitely don't think they will make top 4. If Newcaslte hold their nerve they might just grab it.

After a cracking start, we turned out to play shit. Gave the ball away carelessly, we weren't at all ruthless like we should've been. They had as many chances as us that 2nd half, pretty much. Really poor, IMO but still a 3-0 win so obviously I'll take it. Andre Santos had an absolute shocker and almost cost us a couple of goals. Theo was even terrible after the brilliant start.

Moloney (?) scored a stunner for Wigan and they managed to keep Man U at bay and grab a 1-0 win. They've been doing well lately, actually.

Man City smashed West Brom 4-0 and QPR comfortably beat Swansea 3-0, which further helps their bid to survive another year at the top level.

The chairman. His mentality: "Oh, you haven't won a trophy so far and you're not coming first in the league and I've given you heaps of time. 6 whole months! You're fired!"
