What special things have happened during your time on a cricket field?

Probably my 1st hat-trick is the one that will always stand out, 1st game of cricket and I had no clue to the rules, the umpire/coach threw me the ball and I got 3 fluky as wickets. My love of cricket started there!

My favourite memory is when I got a hattrick (final result 4-3-4-4) taking the number 3,4 and 5. They had no idea how to (at 9 years old) face leg spinners. Was epic.
Another favourite is when I hit 25 on a green pitch batted for almost the whole innings. I was the only player to get past 15 in my team and batted so well that I got a standing ovation from both sides when I got out. I was gutted though because I almost saved the game when we lost 6 wickets in 10 balls before getting out 2 overs from the close needing 30 odd to win.

My greatest times are when I saved my team with my innings of 27* and we won and my game representing Dubbo where I got 40 ret. which one us the shield, It was 2/4 when I came in I think. It's good because I was captain, in which I got to lift that shield and when we won the U/13's grand final which I captained a underfeated side.

One of the worst times I had. It was last game of the season and if we won it we were in the final. We were changing the order up a bit and since I'd opened every game so far, I was put at 9, with our apparently 3rd and 4th best batsman behind me (our best batsman was sick this game). We had 2 normally middle order batsman open, and when we lost our first wicket it we had about 80-90 runs off 22 overs, chasing 150 odd. Then, we had a massive collapse and were about 7/120 or so off 34 overs. My batting partner went out pretty much straight away. Anyway, for some reason, my new batting partner (who's meant to be pretty good), decided we needed to slog to win, and got caught not long later. Same thing for my next batting partner and he got bowled trying to hack when there was about 3 overs left and we were 10-15 runs short. I was 17 not out.

The worst time I've had is when I was on fire, taking 3 fours in a row before mistiming a shot that bounced a good 10 yards from the fielder and was given out caught.

Another awesome moment was when I was probably 2-3 meters from the batsman (no helmet) with a pace bowler bowling. He was our fastest bowler and was in the NZ under-15 side. The batsman hit a huge cover drive straight at my face and I managed to take it. Later in that innings, a guy hit it towards my ankle, it bounced up off it and I took the catch.
